Garmin Dash Cam X310
Garmin’s compact 4K flagship. A built-in Clarity polarizer and Garmin Clarity HDR optics are aimed at daytime glare and exposure balance, and the 2.4" touchscreen is one of the few real displays in this class — the trade-off is a single front channel and an optional paid subscription for the more advanced connected features.

Our review
Best for: Drivers who want Garmin’s touchscreen and app ecosystem and are fine with front-only coverage.
Consider something else if: You want rear or cabin coverage in one box — see the multi-channel options in this lineup instead.
The X310 is Garmin’s compact 4K dash cam, built around a 140° front lens, a 2.4" touchscreen, and a permanently integrated Clarity polarizer intended to cut windshield glare without a clip-on filter. Garmin specifies Clarity HDR optics for balancing bright and dark areas of a scene, which the manufacturer positions for more usable exposure in mixed lighting rather than a guarantee of clear footage in every condition.
It records to a microSD card (supported up to 512GB; card inclusion varies by Amazon bundle) and connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to the Garmin Drive app for clip review and voice control setup. Garmin’s optional paid Vault subscription adds remote live view and cloud backup on top of the base recording and local playback functions. Note that this is a single front-facing camera — for rear coverage, Garmin sells separate multi-camera bundles, which is a different purchase from the X310 alone.

Frequently asked questions
Does the X310 record more than one channel?
No — per its listing, the X310 is a single, front-facing camera. If you want front-and-rear coverage from Garmin, the company’s dual-camera bundles pair it with a separate rear unit; that is a different purchase from the X310 alone.
Is a memory card included?
Check the specific listing — the base X310 is sold in several bundle configurations on Amazon, some with a card included and some without. It supports microSD cards up to 512GB.
Does it need a subscription?
No — recording, viewing clips, and basic Wi-Fi transfer work without one. Garmin’s optional paid Vault subscription unlocks extras like remote live view and cloud backup.
