Cleaning Your Dash Cam Lens the Right Way
A smudged lens quietly ruins otherwise good footage. Cleaning it correctly takes seconds and avoids the scratches a careless wipe can cause.
Use the right cloth
A microfiber cloth lifts dust and oil without scratching. Avoid paper towels and shirt sleeves, which can leave fine scratches over time.
Do not overdo the liquid
A slightly damp cloth or a dedicated lens cleaner is enough. Never spray liquid directly onto the camera, where it can seep inside.
Clean the windshield too
Reflections and haze often come from a dirty windshield, not the lens. Keep the glass in front of the camera clean for the sharpest footage.
